Fazzoletto

Fazzoletto reproduces a light fabric by means of embossing on a thin aluminium sheet.

The metal surface preserves the weave of the fabric and the soft movement of the folds, transforming a rigid material into a form that recalls the lightness and flexibility of fabric. An engraved monogram appears in the centre, introducing a personal mark within the composition.

The work plays on the contrast between the hardness of the metal and the apparent delicacy of the handkerchief.
